"We see the Bylaw on Heritage in Jakarta is very good," he expressed, at City Council building, Monday (3/19).
Syarifuddin, Vice Chairman of City DPRD's Honorary Board stated that Jakarta already has the Bylaw No. 9/1999 on Preservation and Utilization of Environment and Heritage.
In the bylaw, the heritage building is divided into three classes in terms of architecture or historical value. Each has category A, B, and C.
"For Category A, buildings can't be dismantled, Category B, dismantling can be done if the building collapses and Category C, dismantling can be done but retain the main architecture," he stated.
